Wautuga Lake, May 11th

The trail wrapped around the lake for most of the day and it was beautiful!

We had another dam to cross which provided some awesome views.

The trail went up for quite a bit today. It was really rough after doing so many days of slackpacking. Sushi was hurting real bad and decided to turn around and go back down to the road. I hope that I get to see her again.

I saw another snake on the trail, a garter snake, along with a toad. It's forcasted to rain tonight and most of tomorrow. Overall today was a pretty great day.

Tonight at Iron Mountain Shelter I'm camped at mile 442.9 with 1746.9 left to go.
